For sites that want simple, privacy-friendly numbers, yes. You add one script tag and see page views, visitors, sources, countries, devices and real-time activity within a minute. Unlike GA4 it uses no cookies, and reports count every event instead of sampling. GA4 is still deeper for advertising and Google Ads attribution.
No. The script sets no cookies, writes nothing to localStorage and does no device fingerprinting. It keeps one random id in sessionStorage, which the browser deletes when the tab closes. Unique visitors are counted on the server with a hash of the IP address and browser using a random salt that is replaced every day, and raw IP addresses are never stored.
SnapIT Analytics itself sets no cookies and does no fingerprinting, which is what most banner rules are about. Whether your site needs a banner also depends on your country and on everything else your site loads, so confirm your own obligations with an adviser.
Reports are kept for 6 months on Free, 2 years on Starter and 3 years on Pro and Business. Individual events (used for heatmaps, funnels and recent activity) are kept for 30 days on Free and 90 days on paid plans, then deleted automatically.
